I was born in Dillon, SC but have grown up in the East Columbia area. I graduated from Lower Richland High School in 1974 and then went to Mars Hill College and Columbia College where I received my BA degree majoring in Library Science., I got my Masters of Librarianship from USC, (plus 30 hours in Technology). I have been married for 42 years to my husband, Wesley, who is retired from Westinghouse and we have 2 daughters, Ashley, an paralegal at Murphy and Grantland and Blair, a hair stylist, at Studio SB, 2 wonderful son-in-laws and the light of our lives 3 grandchildren, Carter, Griffin and Blakley. My parents are Reverend and Mrs. J. Glenn Anderson of Columbia. My interests include family, my church, NorthStar Christian Center, reading, technology, shag dancing and Elton John. For 26 years I was a librarian/media specialist/ information technology specialist in Richland District #1, 24 of them at Mill Creek Elementary. In addition I was a Technology Integration Specialist for Lexington #1 for 3 years. I eas the Library Media Consultant for Richland #1 where I provide support for the media specialists in my district for 9 years then retired in July 2017. I now work part time as a church secretary and look after my grandchildren after school. What a wonderful life.
